Meet Dr. Thomas Vielma (Pleasanton, TX)
Thomas Vielma, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston in 1998. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1994.
Being able to improve the quality of life of those who need it most through eye care inspired Dr. Vielma to become an optometrist. Dr. Vielma finds fulfillment in educating and assisting his patients to achieve their eye care needs.
In his free time, Dr. Vielma loves being outdoors, traveling, playing piano, meeting new people, and finding new restaurants.

Quick and easy online booking where you can add your insurance info after booking the appointment (o... Show Morer you can call them). Every staff member was friendly and kind. My 6 yr old's appointment was booked with Dr. Thomas Vielma. He was kind and very thorough. He made my daughter laugh quite a few times and held a conversation with her while he examined her eyes. She felt comfortable the whole time, even though her eyes are very sensitive to light. Dr. Vielma distracted her by talking her through the bright-lighted moments! We have EyeMed vision insurance, which they accept. It was a $10 copay for the eye exam and $39 for dilation of the eyes. While we waited for her eyes to dilate, she picked out her frames (just in case she needed glasses). They have cute kid frames to choose from. She chose a hello kitty pair and a light pink pair! I couldn't afford the transition lenses (insurance wasn't much help for that cost), but we did add on the anti glare and blue light filter. Glasses should arrive in 2 weeks! It was smooth and easy process for my daughter! Thank you to the excellent Optometrist, Dr. Vielma, and his staff for the great experience.
